WHERE THE LOCALS EAT IN RACINE WI

Hi everyone!!  We hope you are having a good summer and enjoying your time and the weather.  Can you believe we are already in the month of September?  Where did the time go?  Did you take any fun trips this summer or are you still planning on a last minute getaway?  Recently, my husband and I took the day and went to Racine, WI to take a glass blowing class.  They have a really awesome glass blowing shop that we visited one other time and wanted to come back again because the shop was holding a pumpkin making class that we were interested in trying.

While we were at the glass blowing class, we asked some of the locals in the class where we could go for lunch and the teacher gave us a list of restaurants and coffee shops to pick from.  The list was huge and I was very happy with the selection given with a description of what each place had to offer.  Not being from the area, it was nice to have all these options right in front of me.

My husband and I decided to go to Dewey’s Restaurant and Sport Bar for lunch.  The streets in Racine have meter parking and after we got seated, we forgot we didn’t put money in the meter.  My husband went to the bar to get change and the bartender gave him some coins without taking his money which we thought was really nice.  My husband and I were happy with our meal.  We ordered burgers, mine stuffed with jack cheese and Scott got a bacon stuffed burger.  Our waitress was sweet and attentive.  We were very happy with the afternoon and the restaurant we picked.

After this whole experience, I thought it would be nice to share these suggestions with others who are in need of some help deciding where to go for a meal.  Please check the website for days and hours these places are open.
