We have another awesome guest post to share, How Life has Changed since the Pandemic, by Sarah Bull from Economy Mom this week. Thank you for providing this great article for us!! We really enjoyed it and appreciate the time you took for us!!

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way life works in many aspects. Due to lockdowns and government mandates, some of these changes were forced on people. Other changes were done by choice, as people naturally shifted their priorities. From how you choose to work to how you spend your free time, some pandemic changes are likely to stay.

New Job Preferences

Due to closures and other concerns, many people had to find new employment during the pandemic. But if you don’t want to go back to working the same way as before, you’re far from alone. One study found that 37% of all work can be done fully remotely. Even more jobs only require minimal physical presence. So it’s no surprise that those who can work remotely or follow a hybrid work schedule now want to do so.

If you’re currently looking for a new job that allows you to work remotely at least some of the time, make sure your resume is in order. There are numerous other candidates for every position, and remote jobs are in exceptionally high demand. You can use a resume builder that allows you to choose from various professionally designed templates. Then, you can easily add in your information.

Greater Focus On Personal Health

With the threat of a new illness, people everywhere took a greater interest in their personal health, physically and mentally. Physically, people began exercising, drinking more water, eating healthier, and taking supplements. You likely took these extra efforts in the hopes of boosting your immune system to prevent severe COVID infection. More people than ever suffered from depression and anxiety during the pandemic, which caused a greater emergence of mental telehealth services.

Focusing on the health of you and your family should be continued as time moves forward. Continue to get enough sleep and manage stress with healthy coping techniques like yoga or meditation. Continuing to eat healthier, exercise, and drink enough water are also crucial.

More Family Time

Since people were told to stay home to prevent the spread of coronavirus, more time was spent with the family. Before the pandemic, busy families often skipped eating meals together or spent more time working and at school than at home. During the pandemic, families were forced to stay at home together, and most found they enjoyed it.

Continuing to find family time can be difficult as life returns to normal. School, work, appointments, and other responsibilities can get in the way of the ample together time you’ve been enjoying. However, there are ways you can beat these scheduling challenges together. One excellent option is to have a weekly family night where you do something together each week and avoid scheduling anything else during this time. If you’re in the Sheboygan, WI area, consider a family night outing to the Bookworm Gardens or Above and Beyond Children’s Museum.
