Hi everyone!! Can you believe Christmas is almost here? Unfortunately, I still have a few gifts to buy before my shopping is complete. It’s always this time of year where I have to think of ways of being creative or finding great deals in order to get my shopping done because money is tight. Sometimes, it’s not the money but thinking of the perfect gift ideas for that hard to please person on our list. GIFT IDEAS THAT WON’T BREAK THE BANK

1. PILLOW CASES

Depending what type your looking for, you may be able to find these cute pillowcases for around $15.00 – $30.00. I got the ones pictured for my husband but couldn’t remember where I bought them from. I did some digging and found some cute options on Etsy. Check around to see what else is out there at a reasonable cost.

2. LOTTERY TICKETS

For the person who loves the lottery, this is a gift they will be sure to enjoy. Tickets can be bought at a number of different dollar amounts. A way to add a twist to this gift is to take the tickets and put them in a beautiful picture frame. This way if the ticket is a loser, they still get the frame for a gift.

3. BOX OF CHOCOLATES, NUTS OR CANDY

My husband loves gummy candy, so for Christmas one year, his sister gave him this huge gummy bear. As you can see, he was beyond happy to receive it. For a variety of different candy choices, check out Dylan’s Candy Bar. There is some unique gummy candy here along with other fun options.

4. GLITTER PENS, SCRAPBOOK PAPER OR STICKERS

Check out Joann Fabric for these creative gifts. At Joann Fabric, there is always coupons to help get a great deal on gifts. Besides scrap-booking supplies, there are other gift ideas such as, sewing, jewelry and also baking. Check to see if any of these options are what your looking for.

5. HAVE A PICNIC ON THE BEACH

Take a look in your refrigerator and round up some yummy treats for a relaxing day on the beach. My husband wanted to this a few years back for Father’s Day. It was really nice being outside, good conversation and spending time as a family without spending a fortune on a meal from a restaurant. For the cost of food from the store that you would need anyway, this is a great option for an afternoon gift idea.

6. PERSONALIZED COFFEE CUP, THERMOS, CALENDAR, PUZZLES

This year for some of my gifts, I’ve bought a bunch of items at Shutterfly.com. I had received a coupon in the mail and thought to check it out. After using the coupons I had, the main thing I had to pay was the shipping. There are so many options available to make your present extra special.

7. HOMEMADE COUPONS

This has always been a favorite gift idea of mine. Even if you have money to spend on a gift, this is an extra way to give someone something that is more personalized from you. Some example of coupons could be:

Wash and vacuum their vehicle
Either a back, neck or arm massage
Breakfast in bed
Cook their favorite meal for dinner
Clean the house while they relax
Give them the remote for either the day or night to watch anything they want

8. HOMEMADE CD OR MUSIC MIX

For the cost of either a CD or flash drive, you can surprise someone with this special gift idea. Get an idea of what type of music they like and put it on the CD or flash drive. Some ways to get music for them is:

From your own collection of CD’s
Go to rummage sales and find CD’s at a very cheap cost
Ask your friends to borrow their CD’s
Check out Sound Cloud or Reverb Nation – My husband made a few songs and posted them on these sites. I have attached the links to hear his music.
It’s more expensive but you can buy songs from ITunes or Amazon

The examples shown are two CD’s my husband made me. The one with the picture of us is from the first date we had. He put a bunch of songs that he thought I would like on this CD. The other one is my husband dressed as Deadmau5. He made this costume and again put the picture on the CD with a bunch of awesome songs. Every time I get music as a gift I smile because I know it took time and thought to make.

9. FREE EVENTS

If you look hard enough, you should be able to find cheap events going on near your hometown. My hometown is near the Milwaukee area which is a big city with lots to do. A free idea I’ve been waiting to do is their Jazz in the Park. Every Thursday, during the summer time, they have Jazz performers who play for free. It has been on my list of things to do, so hopefully soon.
